Kevin Siegfried's sonorous adaptations of Shaker songs stand aside historic arrangements of spirituals by Harry Burleigh, William Dawson, and Moses Hogan. Carol Barnett's The World Beloved reimagines the Catholic Mass with a sacred-and-secular perspective. Infused with bluegrass culture and sonorities, its central message of togetherness and mutual support is especially appropriate in these days.
