Bergamot Quartet is an NYC-based ensemble specializing in contemporary music for string quartet; they aim to place this new, genre-bending music in meaningful dialogue with the histories that precede it. Comprised of Ledah Finck, Sarah Thomas, Amy Tan, and Irene Han, the group is currently graduate quartet in residence at the Mannes School of Music. They are delighted to reunite with Sonya Belaya after their collaboration on her residency at Roulette Intermedium, and will also be performing Arcade by Charles Peck, The Answers by Julie Zhu, Pasemisí Pasemisá by Christian Quiñones, and "Metamorphoses nocturnes" by György Ligeti.

Sonya Belaya brings a new band (Tomas Fujiwara – drums, Doyeon Kim – gayageum, Adam O-Farrill – trumpet) to play music for the present moment – a workshop of songs and material for her upcoming Roulette commission New Childhood. After their initial performance got cancelled in March 2020, Belaya is over the moon to be finally convening with these incredible musicians. Some Soviet bard songs will emerge (but we aren’t surprised).
