Aaron Larget-Caplan's concert will cap a 3-day residency at CSU Bakersfield.

Program: "Looking Bach, Hearing Forward" – music by Bach, Cage, Flaherty, Fujii, composers from Aaron's "New Lullaby" project, and Aaron.

This concert will take place in the CSU Bakersfield Music Building, Room 127.

Aaron Larget-Caplan is an international classical guitarist, who has premiered over 85 compositions, founded the New Lullaby Project, directs the Spanish classical music & flamenco dance trio ¡Con Fuego!, and had his groundbreaking arrangements and recording of the music of John Cage issued by Edition Peters and the UK label Stone Records. He has six acclaimed solo discs and multiple publications with the American Composers Alliance. His awards include a medal from the Société Académique Arts-Sciences-Lettres of Paris, France for his trailblazing work in music, and Musician in Residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Canada. His first album of compositions ‘honey cadence’ will be released in April 2022.

Composer and classical guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan searches for the life in music, and music in life. He has premiered over 120 compositions, directs the Spanish music and dance ensemble ¡Con Fuego!, while curating the New Lullaby Project commissioning endeavor, and the Now Musique recital series. His arrangements and recording of the music of John Cage are the first to be sanctioned by the estate and have received international accolades. He has 11 solo albums which have earned over 6 million streams, including albums dedicated to J.S. Bach, John Cage, Spanish romantic and flamenco composers, contemporary composers, and his own music. Raised in Colorado, he makes his home in Boston.
