St. James Cathedral observes the traditional Good Friday devotion of Tre Ore ("Three Hours") in which we remember the last words of Christ proclaimed from the cross. These brief exclamations from Jesus alternate with movements from Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and meditations by Father Tom Lucas, S.J. on the Seven Last Words of Christ. Father Michael G. Ryan, presider. Joseph Adam directs the women of the Cathedral Cantorei and the Cathedral Chamber Orchestra.

This liturgy is open to all—no tickets required. A freewill offering will be taken up during the service. If you can't attend in-person, you can view on the Cathedral Facebook (@stjamesseattle) or Vimeo page. 

COVID-19 Protocols: As this is event is a religious service, masks are optional for members of the congregation, and no proof of vaccination is required to attend. All singers will be wearing masks. Socially distanced seating is available by advance request to cokello@stjames-cathedral.org.
