Saturday, April 30, 2022 @ 8:00pm – 10:00pm (EDT)
The Music Center at Strathmore, North Bethesda, MD, United States

Stefan Jackiw performs a new violin concerto written expressly for him by noted pianist and composer Conrad Tao. Also on the program, Ukrainian conductor Kirill Karabits interprets two contrasting symphonies: Stravinsky's Symphony in Three Movements was written shortly after he moved to the US and draws inspiration from World War II. Rachmaninoff's poignant Third Symphony was written in exile in America and reflects his memories of the old Russia.
