The Turkish composer-pianist Fazıl Say joins Orpheus Chamber Orchestra to perform his own “Silk Road”, navigating his homeland’s place at the intersection of the West and the East, and a Mozart concerto that channels a fellow composer-pianist. Rounding out the program is Chamber Symphony No. 1, arranged for Orpheus by Christopher Theofanidis, propelled by dance rhythms and folksongs after Tchaikovsky’s First String Quartet.
