Bent Frequency is a professional contemporary music ensemble based in Atlanta, and is an ensemble-in-residence at Georgia State University. At this concert, Bent Frequency presents the Pantera Trio for a FREE concert!

This represents Bent Frequency's first-ever all-percussion concert! It will feature BF co-artistic director and percussionist, Stuart Gerber, with special guests the Pantera Trio and Harvey Warner.

Pantera is an Atlanta-based trio who will be participating in the Luxembourg International Percussion Competition in July. This concert will be a preview of repertoire prepared for that competition. While this BF event will be free and open to the public, we also hope to raise donations for Pantera to help defray the costs for these players to travel to Luxembourg for the competition.

Please join us for the final program of our 21-22 season! An evening of wonderful music exploring the diverse world of percussion. With music by: Annea Lockwood, Wolfgang Rihm, Wenchi Tsai, Steven Snowden, Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska, Carlos Stasi, Karel Goeyvaerts, Alvin Singleton, and Iannis Xenakis.

This program is supported in part by the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.

About Bent Frequency

Bent Frequency, ensemble in residence at Georgia State University, is a professional contemporary music ensemble based in Atlanta. Hailed as “one of the brightest new music ensembles on the scene today” by Gramophone magazine, Bent Frequency engages an eclectic mix of the most adventurous and impassioned players from the greater Atlanta area. Founded in 2003, Bent Frequency (BF) brings the avant-garde to life through adventurous and socially conscious programming, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and community engagement. One of BF’s primary goals is championing the work of historically underrepresented composers - music by women, composers of color, and LGBTQIA+. Its programming, educational outreach, and community events aim to be inclusive of the diverse and dynamic community they are a part of.
