Light Opera of Portland: H.M.S. Pinafore

Light Opera Of Portland presents Gilbert and Sullivan's classic comedy romance, H.M.S. Pinafore at Milwaukie's Chapel Theater.

Common sailor Ralph Rackstraw is madly in love with Josephine, the daughter of his ship's Captain. She, meanwhile, is being sought in marriage by Sir Joseph Porter, the First Lord of the Admiralty. Gilbert's script pokes fun at the rigid class system, while Sullivan’s famous songs include "A British Tar", "The Hours Creep On Apace", "For He Is An Englishman", and "I Am The Captain Of The Pinafore".

Performances at 7:30pm on Saturday 5/21, Thursday 5/26, Friday 5/27, and Saturday 5/28. Doors open at 7pm, curtain at 7:30pm.

Matinee performances at 1:30pm on Sunday 5/22 and Saturday 5/28. Doors open at 1pm, curtain at 1:30pm
