Join us at our favorite whiskey distillery MÔTÔ Spirits for the exciting debut of Kuchipudi dancer Yamini Kalluri's newly formed Kritya Ensemble, as they take us on a captivating journey through the movements, stories, and sounds of South Indian Classical music and dance!

This concert and fundraising event will present Kritya's all original compositions and choreographed pieces before they depart on their debut tour as a brand new ensemble. All funds raised will assist Kritya with their expenses before and during the tour, and help them build their performance portfolio.

Kritya performs with the mission to bring more visibility to Kuchipudi dance and Carnatic music on a global scale.

Note: Alcoholic drinks will be sold by MÔTÔ Spirits at the entrance. No outside drinks permitted (this is not a BYOB event). Please enjoy this distillery's offerings to support this amazing local business!

All guests must be 21+. Not handicap accessible. Dogs live at this venue.

About Harsha Mandayam Bharathi, mridangam

Harsha is from Chennai and has been learning the mridangam since the age of 4. He began learning from Vid. Poongulam Sri Subramanian and is currently receiving advanced lessons from Dr. Patri Satish Kumar. He has been performing in concerts for the past 12 years. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemistry at The Ohio State University.

About Rohith Jayaraman, voice

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Rohith Jayaraman is a vocalist, composer, and educator known for his soulful voice, speed, precision, and infectious energy. Rohith was trained in Carnatic music under his mother and guru, Asha Ramesh, a disciple of D.K. Jayaraman. For the last 10 years, he has been exploring the world of crossover music, working with (and learning from) his collaborators, who come from all around the world and bring expertise in areas as diverse as jazz, pop, Arabic music, metal, Gnawa, folk, electronica, and more. Rohith has shared the stage with internationally acclaimed and award-winning artists such as A.R. Rahman and Zakir Hussain. Outside the performance space, Rohith has scored a short film, written for dance, and directed several music videos. Rohith regularly conducts masterclasses and workshops in Indian classical concepts. A proud alumni of Berklee College of Music, Rohith is currently the Assistant Manager of Berklee India Exchange (BIX).
