Join in the celebration as the Western Symphony Orchestra caps off the 2021-2022 concert season with the winners of the annual WWU Concerto Competition, singers from the WWU Concert Choir, Advanced Treble Choir, and Choir of the Salish Sea, and world-renowned soprano soloist Katie Van Kooten.
- Percussionists Tyler Bateman and Lucas Webster join forces for the pyrotechnic Prism Rhapsody II by the Japanese marimba virtuoso Keiko Abe
- Flutist Adelle Koenig performs the haunting Poem for Flute and Orchestra by the American Impressionist Charles T. Griffes
- Pianist Alex Amick presents the first movement of Brahms' monumental Second Piano Concerto
On the program's second half, the WSO will share the stage with Metropolitan Opera soprano Katie Van Kooten and 90 singers from the WWU Choirs and and Bellingham's Choir of the Salish Sea to perform Francis Poulenc's spellbinding Gloria.
