Internationally renowned soprano Dawn Upshaw and the Brentano Quartet join forces on this premiere event! First, they explore the Renaissance soundscape of Henry Purcell’s beloved opera Dido & Aeneas through Purcell's and his contemporaries' music, from Dowland to Locke. Then, they premiere Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Melinda Wagner's groundbreaking Dido Reimagined – a new take on Dido's tragic tale with an unexpected ending.
