We're excited to announce a very special Massivemuse featuring violinist Charles Yang who "plays with the charisma of a rockstar" (Boston Globe) in collaboration with members of one of NYC's most celebrated institutions, the Grammy Award-winning Orpheus Chamber Orchestra!
The evening's program is chock full of evocative works and newly commissioned arrangements in signature Orpheus style, including Ralph Vaughan Williams' classic romance The Lark Ascending and bassist/composer Gregg August's Variations on a Theme by Pérotin, a hauntingly beautiful work by the French medieval composer arranged specifically for Charles Yang & Orpheus. Closing out the evening Charles will exhibit his abilities as both consummate musician and composer, showcasing his own original works Loopy and Streets of Berlin.
