Oregon Bach Festival: Schubert – 'Winterreise' with Tyler Duncan

The "Winter Journey" song cycle finds its inspiration from the poems of 19th-century poet Wilhelm Müller, and follows a young man who, upon seeing his beloved marry another, sets out on foot in the deepest winter to escape memories of her. Schubert composed the cycle in the weeks before his death, shortly before his 32nd birthday.
COVID-19 Protocols: In accordance with state mandates, as of 6/14/22, OBF performance spaces do not require face masks, proof of vaccination, or negative COVID test for entry. However, given the rise in Lane County COVID cases, the University of Oregon recommends individuals wear masks indoors when around other people. These policies are subject to change as the Festival progresses.
