Imogen Cooper returns to Portland for one afternoon only, in a highly personal program that showcases every aspect of the celebrated British pianist's consummate artistry — from her outstanding technical prowess to her sensitive, engaging musicianship.
This recital offers our community the rare chance to witness Cooper perform a work she has received significant acclaim for throughout her career — Schubert's restless, tempestuous Piano Sonata in A minor — as well as a collection of delightful pieces by Ravel and Liszt that she hasn't performed in more than 30 years.
