Henry From — Selected works

Eighteen year-old Henry From will present a broad range of music, all the way from J.S. Bach, to 20th-century works by Dutilleux and Scriabin, and a new work of his own.

Henry is no stranger to Pacific Northwest audiences. He recently played the Brahms Piano Concerto no. 1 with the Seattle Symphony as a Young Artist Award winner, and he has appeared several times on KING FM's Northwest Focus Live.

Henry was a first prize winner at the 2018 Montreal Symphony Orchestra Competition, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation selected him as one of its top 30 Classical Musicians under 30 for 2019. Henry's performance highlights include recent concerts in Minneapolis, Boston, Montreal, Warsaw, Switzerland, and Israel.

This will be Henry's last concert in the Pacific Northwest for a while. In September he heads off to the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto to continue his music studies in Piano Performance. He will be studying with Irish pianist John O'Conor.
