Join Artistic Partner Yaniv Attar and violin virtuoso Melissa White for this spectacular concert featuring Beethoven's First Symphony. Beethoven overcame great obstacles to write the music that we still love today, as did Florence Price in her pursuit of becoming a successful Black woman composer in the first half of the 20th Century. Price's first Violin Concerto beautifully marries traditional European classical music vocabulary with the sounds of her American experience. The concert will also feature the winner of Northwest Sinfonietta's 2023 Youth Concerto competition, and Carlos Simon's Fate Now Conquers, inspired by Beethoven.
