The Federal Way Symphony will kick off its 40th season with "Strings and . . ." featuring the Symphony's string section in collaboration with harpsichord, oboe, harp, and vibraphone, and timpani. The highlight of the concert will be Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Concerto in A minor for Oboe and Strings. Seattle Symphony principal oboist Mary Lynch VanderKolk will join the Symphony in the performance honoring the composer's 150 birth anniversary. Spanning more than three centuries off music, the concert will also include performances of Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 for strings and harpsichord, Morton Gould's Harvest for strings, harp, and vibraphone, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Serenata Notturna for strings and timpani.

The concert will take place at the Federal Way Performing Arts & Events Center which is less than 1 minute from I-5 and offers ample free parking.
