9:30pm Chris Dingman, vibraphone, will be performing an excerpt from his album Peace

About the program:

ODE is a series of improvised compositions for solo Voice.

Chris Dingman is a vibraphonist and composer known for his distinctive approach: sonically rich and conceptually expansive, bringing listeners on a journey to a beautiful, transcendent place.

Peace was recorded as it was performed for Chris's father during his time in hospice care. This extended album consists of 5 hours of Chris's original solo vibraphone music. It's an immersive listening experience that many have described as transportive, meditative, deeply healing, and transformative.

About Odeya Nini

Odeya Nini is a Los Angeles based interdisciplinary vocalist and composer. At the locus of her interests are performance practices, gesture, textural harmony, tonal animation, and the illumination of minute sounds, in works spanning chamber music to vocal pieces and collages of musique concrète. Her solo vocal work extends the dimension and expression of the voice and body, creating a sonic and physical panorama of silence to noise and tenderness to grandeur.
