During an evening of songs, new music, improvisation and reflections on American Music, Robin Holcomb, whose music has been called "staggeringly beautiful" by The New York Times, performs material from her new release, One Way or Another, released in October 2022 on The Westerlies' record label; Sara Schoenbeck—a bassoonist who dedicates herself to expanding the sound and role of the bassoon in the worlds of classical, contemporary notated, and improvised music—and Wayne Horvitz—recipient of the 2019 American Prize in Orchestral Composition—perform material from their debut CD, Cell Walk.
