The concert will be led by conductor Yue Bao, Assistant Conductor of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and feature works by renowned composers played by a world-class symphony orchestra. With performances by Stella Chen, winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Competition and rising international opera star, Hyesang Park, this will be a showcase of phenomenal talent. Additionally, In honor of the cultural celebration, guests can enjoy performances by Chinese and Korean artists and family-friendly activities during our pre and post-concert events. The evening will be a jubilant experience that embodies connectivity and cultural appreciation through music.

As a special post-concert performance, the Student String Ensemble will be performing traditional Korean and Chinese tunes with soloist Stella Chen and BSO musicians.

About Hera Hyesang Park, soprano
Hera Hyesang Park is an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon recording artist working with orchestras and opera houses worldwide. The Korean soprano has made house and role debuts as Adina in Donizetti's The Elixir of Love (at Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin), Despina in Mozart's Così fan tutte (Bavarian Staatsoper and Glyndebourne Festival), Musetta in Puccini's La bohème (Komische Oper), Juliette in Gounod’s Roméo et Julliette (Korean National Opera), and Pamina in Mozart's The Magic Flute (Teatro Colón Buenos Aires).
