New York City-based actor, singer, and musician Eleri Ward makes her Kennedy Center debut! Through a reimagining of the Stephen Sondheim canon, Eleri is carving out her own space with the uniqueness she brings to musical theater. In 2021, she recorded and produced a full length indie-folk Sondheim album A Perfect Little Death in her closet. After gaining a viral TikTok following, the album was released by Ghostlight Records and hailed as "a harmonious marriage of musical theater and indie folk music, with hauntingly beautiful arrangements." (Forbes) In September 2022, Eleri released a follow-up album of Sondheim covers, Keep a Tender Distance, which has been deemed "a sequel that lives up to the original" (BroadwayWorld).
