Hailed as a pianist capable of "pulling a palette of moods from every register" (Indianapolis Star), Kenny Broberg brings his inventive, intelligent, and intense performance style to The Reser stage.

Both rapturous and melancholic, Franck's Prelude, Fugue, and Variation in B minor offers listeners an emotional sweep that belies the work's formal title, while Chopin's Ballade No. 4 in F minor evokes the candlelit salons of 19th-century Paris. Closing the program is Nikolai Medtner's "Night Wind" Sonata — a relentless frenzy of menacing, nightmarish music that tests the performer’s physical and expressive limits.
