Vivaldi like you've never heard Vivaldi before! Join us for an afternoon of Vivaldi and Vivaldi reimagined. To start, Music Director Yaniv Attar picks up the guitar to join guitarist David Feingold for an arrangement of Vivaldi's Concerto in G major for Two Mandolins, Strings, and Continuo. Next, clarinetist Erika Block joins the orchestra for Andreas N. Tarkmann's Clarinet Concerto No. 1 in B-flat major "Sant' Angelo" (after Vivaldi). Finally, violinist Denise Dillenbeck takes the stage for Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi – The Four Seasons. Premiered in 2012, Richter's Recomposed is a contemporary recomposition and reinterpretation of one of Vivaldi's most iconic works, incorporating elements of modern dance music, sampling, and looping Vivaldi's original bars. Join us for an afternoon of fresh takes on classic works!

Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel’s engaging and informative Pre-Concert Lecture will take place at 2:15pm in the Walton Theatre. Doors open at 2pm and seating is limited, so please plan accordingly.
