Sunday, January 22, 2023 @ 2:00pm – 3:00pm (EST)
Carnegie Hall (Zankel Hall), New York, NY, United States

Join families, community members, and Carnegie Hall’s 2022–2023 Debs Creative Chair Claire Chase for a daylong celebration of Pauline Oliveros, the visionary composer and performer known for her concept of Deep Listening™. This two-part event in the intimate and immersive Zankel Hall Center Stage seating blurs the lines between listening, learning, and performing.

The afternoon session is open to families as well as general audiences, and includes interactive engagement with several of Oliveros’s important works composed for open instrumentation and interpretation. Forest wisdom defender Manari Ushigua, anthropologist Eduardo Kohn, and artist-author IONE also join as special guests.

Tickets are required for all attendees, including children and babies.
