PLU Opera: 'The Elixir of Love' by Gaetano Donizetti
Free ($17 ($10 senior/military/alum/PLU community, $5 PLU students/ages 18 & under))
What do you get when a snake oil salesman peddling a love potion descends upon a small Italian village where a tenor pines away for a soprano? Hilarity! Combine that with the gorgeous and lyrical music of Donizetti, and you have the Elixir of Love!
Performed in Italian with orchestra, Barry Johnson directs and Jim Brown conducts.
This performance will be presented both in person at Eastvold Auditorium on the PLU campus, and streamed for free via YouTube.
