The centerpiece of the program is English Renaissance composer John Sheppard's Media vita ("In the midst of life"), written during London's most deadly influenza epidemic, which likely took the life of Sheppard himself. Accompanying this 20-minute masterpiece are music by Arvo Pärt, Eric Whitacre's setting of When David Heard, and John Tavener's Song for Athene.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance.
Virtual concert tickets are also available for $20. Concert video will be released about 2 weeks after the concert date.
