A concert commemorating the heroism of Chiune Sugihara, Japanese Vice-Consul to Lithuania, who saved thousands of Jewish refugees during WWII. The performance will feature the American Premiere of Lera Auerbach's Symphony No. 6, Vessels of Light, dedicated to Sugihara and all those who risk everything to save others. This symphony was commissioned by Yad Vashem, The World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem, along with the American Society for Yad Vashem, and was catalyzed by cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper.
