Artist, choreographer, and educator Rachna Nivas is one of the most sought-after Kathak artists of her generation. As a distinguished torchbearer of legendary master Pandit Chitresh Das' treasured lineage, Nivas is a passionate performer and a technical powerhouse with masterful creativity and infectious charm. The performance features musical artists Salar Nader, tabla; Ben Kunin, sarod; Indradeep Ghosh, violin; and Carrie Jennings and Neha Tummala, recitation/vocals.

Sarod player Ben Kunin learned his instrument and the tradition of North Indian classical music over more than 25 years of study under the legendary Maestro Ali Akbar Khan at the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael, CA. He also learned tabla from Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri for many years. In 2006 he began training with Pandit Chitresh Das and the Chandam School of Kathak Dance. He performs frequently as a soloist and as well as accompanist.

Maestro Indradeep is one of the few Indian classical violinists and one and only Indian classical violists to play a unique, custom made five-string violin and viola with eight sympathetic strings, modeled after the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle which gives a fuller tone and resonating effect.
Over the years he has extensively performed all over the world and was featured in some notable events including the 10th Asia Festival in Barcelona, SXSW music festival at Austin, USA, Learn Quest Music Festival, Boston, USA, Tansen-Tyagaraja Music and Dance Festival, Rajahmundry, India Festival Du Bout Du Monde, France, the YOMAD Festival in Croatia, Yoga—Vidya Music Festival in Germany to name a few.
