When Chopin returned to studies of counterpoint in 1841, his music became more intricate texturally and structurally, culminating in some of his most sophisticated and popular works. Pianists Shuang "Iris" Zhang and Adam Zukiewicz perform some of these works, along with Three Learned Fugues after Cherubini which served as a model for Chopin's compositional development and contributed greatly to the evolution of his late style.
