From studies in his native Spain, advanced training in Germany and Russia, and work on interpretation with Marie-Claire Alain and other renowned organists, he commands a wide and deep knowledge of organ repertoire, styles, and schools.
Noted for his "great flair" and "positive, energetic style" (The Diapason), Prieto Ramírez gave "one of the most amazing and exciting recitals of the [2012 American Guild of Organists national] convention… performed from memory with élan and panache" (The American Organist).
