Yuri Liberzon is a rising star in the classical guitar world! Yuri was born in Russia, raised in Israel, studied classical guitar and earned degrees from Yale and Peabody. Currently Yuri lives in the San Francisco Bay area. Yuri's upcoming Oregon tour takes him to Portland and Corvalis. His program will consist of his own arrangements of works by Piazzolla works soon to be recorded and released on the Naxos label.

Last year, Yuri completed two major CD projects last year: three Violin Sonatas by J.S. Bach on the Laudable Records label (using his own arrangements) and new guitar works by Russian composer Konstantin Vassiliev. These are exciting new virtuosic works for classical guitar. His music is thoroughly modern and appealing, containing a wonderful synthesis of classical, American jazz, Russian folk music, and 21st-century modern. 

Yuri has made numerous appearances on radio and television appearances; e.g. Capital Public Radio of Sacramento, KUHF (NPR Houston), SUSF (San Francisco), WDR (German Television), and Kol HaMusica in Israel, along with premier broadcast performance of new works by Russian composer Konstantin Vassiliev.

Classical guitarist Yuri Liberzon has been recognized for his impressive technical ability and musicality. Based on his achievements in the music field United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has granted Yuri Liberzon ‘Alien of Extraordinary Ability’ United States Permanent Residency.

Mr. Liberzon has given countless number of concerts across the United States. Notable concerts venues include: 92nd Street Y in New York, Florida State University, Oregon State University, Santa Clara University, Marlow Guitar Series in Maryland, Murov Music College in Novosibirsk, Russia; Legion of Honor in San Francisco, Lesher Center in Walnut Creek, and many guitar societies. Mr. Liberzon has collaborated and performed in concerts with many renown musicians including: guitarists Grisha Goryachev, Patrick O’Connell, Piotr Pakhomkin and flutist Josué Casillas; orchestra performances with Diablo Symphony Orchestra and Tahoe Symphony Orchestra; and chamber music with Gold Coast Chamber Players, Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra and Quartet San Francisco.
