BMC is pleased to add a pair of exceptional artists to its season calendar – cellist Colin Carr and pianist Thomas Sauer – in a program of works by Bach, Schubert, Debussy, and Britten.
Colin Carr appears throughout the world as a soloist, chamber musician, and recording artist. He has played with major orchestras worldwide in addition to teaching at the Royal Academy of Music (London) and Stony Brook University in New York. Thomas Sauer is a highly sought-after soloist, chamber musician, and teacher at Vassar College and the Mannes College of Music. Together, Carr and Sauer have toured the U.S. and Europe extensively, and last appeared in Bellingham in an immensely successful all-Beethoven recital in February 2020.
Program preview is on Wednesday, May 17, 10:30am; full-length Night Beat is on Friday, May 19, 7:30pm, both at First Congregational Church, 2401 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham.
As always, matinees are free and open to all. For the evening program, no ticket purchase is required, and all students are free; we suggest a $20 donation for others. More information on bellinghammusicclub.org.
