Thalia Symphony, under the direction of Joseph Pollard White, will perform a concert celebrating the "Joy of Spring – Promise of Summer."
The program will feature the evocative Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune ("Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun") by Claude Debussy, the charming song cycle Les nuits d'été ("Summer Nights") by Hector Berlioz, and the ebullient "Spring" Symphony by Robert Schumann.
The soloist in Nuits d'ete will be celebrated soprano Julie Finch. Ms. Finch has performed throughout the Northwest, including with Orchestra Seattle/Seattle Chamber Singers, Bellevue Chamber Singers, and the Seattle Mandolin Orchestra.
