ROCO’s Season 18 Albert and Margaret Alkek Foundation In Concert Series wraps up with a look toward our "Future," on April 29 at The Church of St. John the Divine!
In a program inspired by daring creativity and artistic innovation, conductor Michelle Merrill makes her ROCO debut, leading the orchestra in the premiere of a ROCO-commissioned orchestral work by Juno award-winner Vivian Fung, Parade. Louise Farrenc's fiery Symphony No. 1 also features, with Igor Stravinsky's suite from the ballet Pulcinella, and Ludwig van Beethoven's Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus appropriately rounds out ROCO's 18th Season as we’re joined by Houston's musical future: the Houston Youth Symphony!
This performance will also be livestreamed free at ROCO.org, Facebook, YouTube, and A440.
