Concerto movements by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Popper will be presented in concert with Philharmonia Northwest, Julia Tai, conductor. Audience members should prepare to be astonished by the adult level performances they will hear in this stellar event.
From the only competitive area of the Festival, the Concerto Division, the Young Artists Concerto Concert presents the top six soloists from an original field of 150 entrants, in concert with an orchestra. Concerto Division winners often go on to study at the Curtis Institute, The Juilliard School, Oberlin Conservatory, Eastman School of Music and other prestigious schools. It is a music event of the highest caliber and should not be missed.
