The Emerson String Quartet, in its final New York series, performs the repertoire which earned the Emerson its reputation as one of history's greatest chamber ensembles.

The Emerson's iconic interpretations of the complete quartets of Bartók and Shostakovich earned them international acclaim and multiple Grammy Awards. This program dedicated to modernism also includes essential voices from the Impressionist and Second Viennese schools.

This event will be presented in person at Alice Tully Hall on May 7 at 5pm, and broadcast online on May 19 at 12pm Eastern. This digital event is available for purchase until June 2, 2023 at 12pm Eastern. Once purchased the event will remain on demand until June 9, 2023 at 11:59am Eastern.
