Chelsea Music Festival: Stay Grounded | Planting Workshop & Happy Hour
$33.85 ($12.51 meal add-on)
- Rogerio Boccato, percussion
- Anne Boccato, voice
Stay grounded and connected to the earth and our community at this event, held on the gorgeous grounds of the General Theological Seminary.
This season we are thrilled to partner with Growing Uptown, an incredible initiative that helps to increase food security by empowering families to grow food in their urban apartments.
Participants in this workshop will each get a "Grow Kit" and be led through a demonstration on how to plant and care for your rooftop or windowsill crops! And 50% of your ticket price will go directly to Growing Uptown so that they can continue their efforts to fight food insecurity.
Join us as we experience our Festival motto— Hear | Taste | See together.
- Hear a percussion set by father-daughter duo, Rogério Boccato on instruments made of natural materials, and Anne Boccato on vocals.
- Enjoy a family-friendly happy hour and Taste herb-infused mocktails or beverages provided by Radeberger.
- And See artwork on view created through the Gleaning Project, an amazing NYC-based community organization founded by visual artist Noemia Marinho.
"We promote a mindset of empowering a disenfranchised population while caring for our environment. Using discarded objects as the raw material for creating art pieces, we bring new life out of what was deemed old and useless." – Noemia Marinho, Artist & Founder of the Gleaning Project
Consider making a night of it and attend our evening "Beloved of the Sky" concert as well; opt in for a light meal or sandwich & enjoy the campus grounds before the concert!
