Sharon Yung began her training in classical violin in Hong Kong at the age of eight. She has received multiple awards, including scholarships to the Aberdeen International Music Festival in Scotland, the Aspen Music Festival, the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and the Music Conservatory at Brooklyn College. Yung has studied with such world-renowned violinists as Itzark Perlman, Igor Ozim, Mela Tenenbaum, Maoso Kawasaki, the La Salle Quartet, and Kurt Sassmanhaus. She has performed extensively as a soloist, made multiple recordings, and been a member of the Jupiter Symphony Orchestra (under the baton of the late Jenns Nygard), the Westchester Chamber, and the DiCapo Opera Orchestra.
