In its annual PCMS concert, the "genuinely exciting" (The New York Times) Aizuri Quartet presents a program that explores the idea of community in a multi-faceted way. It features works by four female composers, including Indian American composer Reena Esmail, whose raga-influenced "Fantasie" from Ragamala layers the voices of the string quartet to create a beautiful, swirling world that invites players and audience into the concert experience.
This performance will be presented in-person at Benjamin Franklin Hall, and online via free livestream at https://www.pcmsconcerts.org/concerts/livestreams/.
