"Welcome to our unique home, known as the Art Deco House or Gardenburger House of Portland! It was built in the midst of vibrant 1980s culture in the style of Art Deco, by the eccentric creator of the OG veggie burger, Gardenburger.
"We're so excited to share our unusually colorful and dramatic living room as the setting for an exciting, resonant performance by the Portlandia Brass Ensemble in our first Groupmuse concert! We'll give a little presentation about this wild place we now call home, because once you see it, you'll definitely have questions ;) Feel free to dress casual but costumes from either era are welcome!
"Our event will be 21+, BYOB, and we do request everyone be vaccinated and boosted, thank you! We’ll have seating in the form of a couch, chairs, and thickly carpeted floor and stairs!

The Portlandia Brass Ensemble is a fun-loving group of active, professional musicians, who built their street cred at well-known music schools (including New England Conservatory, Eastman, UNT), symphonies (like Eugene and Salem), and many exciting music groups. They love to bring music up close and personal and perform in all kinds of venues, from in-home concerts to traditional concert halls. Past performances include the University of Portland, Oregon Symphony Prelude, The Old Church Lunchtime Concerts, Reed College commencement, Willamette Ale & Cider House and Groupmuse. Their music programs have 'a little something for everyone' - songs you know, and new ones to love; you might find yourself sitting with the band or playing an unusual rhythm instrument.
