Nordic Chamber Music: Iceland

Trumpet player Brian Kai Chin ("clearly a gifted musician with a nice rounded tone, excellent technique and a commitment to new literature." – Origin Classical) and internationally acclaimed award-winning organist Douglas Cleveland ("Cleveland dazzles in contemporary works ... Cleveland essayed the set with such aplomb that organ technique might need to be added as an Olympic event." – The Vancouver Sun) will perform contemporary Iceland works, including a world premiere commissioned especially for this concert. The sanctuary will be filled with ringing from pipes and bells from the land of fire and ice.
About Nordic Chamber Music
Nordic Chamber Music presents chamber music concerts featuring music from each of the five Nordic countries each year, plus a sixth concert highlighting one of the countries neighboring the region. Musicians from the Pacific Northwest, across the US, and from abroad grace the NCM stage, brining works otherwise unheard in our region. With Laura Loge as Artistic Director, the series is produced by the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society.
