Amidst the verdant and sprawling Snoqualmie Valley, lies Meadowbrook Farm Preserve — a scenic and historic 460-acre expanse of public open space, part of the Mountains to Sound Greenway. It is situated within the cities of Snoqualmie and North Bend, and is said to be the birthplace of the Snoqualmie Tribe, lovingly referred to as Hyas Kloshe Ilahee or the Great Good Land, according to oral tradition. In the last two centuries, the prairie has been used for farmland, as the world's largest hop ranch during the late 1800s, then for dairy herds, crops, greenchop, and hay.

In 1996, facilitated by Trust for Public Land, the cities of Snoqualmie and North Bend jointly acquired Meadowbrook Farm as public open space with a view to preserving its historical and cultural significance, providing wildlife habitat, supporting agriculture, and offering public recreation. Even today, much of Meadowbrook Farm remains a vast expanse of open meadow and wetland forest, much as it has been for countless centuries.

This concert is a benefit for and celebration of Trust for Public Land's 50th anniversary. TPL is a national nonprofit that works to connect everyone to the benefits and joys of the outdoors. They have created nearly 5,400 spaces across the United States, protecting 4 million acres of land, including beloved Washington places like Rattlesnake Ridge, Olympic Sculpture Park, and more. As TPL celebrates their first 50 years of impact, they look ahead at the work still to be done. From protecting vast stretches of wide-open spaces to revamping schoolyards, trails and parks, they strive for equity, inclusion, and access for everyone in Washington and beyond.

Good Neighbor Tickets: Inspired by the Works Progress Administration's (WPA) Federal Music and Theatre Projects, which presented thousands of free concerts and plays in theaters, public spaces and parks across the country during the Great Depression, our Good Neighbor Program provides access to those who might not otherwise be able to afford a ticket to this outdoor classical music experience.

A number of Good Neighbor (free)* tickets have been made available at this concert for Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cardholders through outreach in partnership with Trust for Public Land.
