This Saturday, July 29th from 5pm - 8pm, join us for a night of intimate live performances at BāS Bookshop with Grammy Award winning cellist, Andrew Yee, and the collaborative musical duo, The Yes & – consisting of Leilehua Lanzilotti and Gahlord Dewald.
The collaborative duo The Yes & – making up of Leilehua Lanzilottti and Gahlord Dewald – combines sounds of acoustic strings with electronic processing in experimental improvisation. Now in their 8th season, from performances at The Tank Center for Sonic Arts in Colorado to Autumn Records in Vermont, The Yes & explores the resonance of site-specific performance as a part of their sound practice. This is their debut concert in Hawaii.

About The Yes &
The Yes & is a collaboration between Leilehua Lanzilotti and Gahlord Dewald. The duo combines sounds of acoustic strings with electronic processing in experimental improvisation. Praised as "spellbindingly virtuosic" by Michael Kennedy of the London Telegraph, the Juilliard School trained cellist Andrew Yee is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Attacca Quartet who have released several albums to Critical acclaim. Their newest recording of the string quartets of Caroline Shaw won a Grammy for best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble performance.
Inspired by their experience as a bi-racial and non-binary person, their solo project, Halfie, draws from their access to multiple communities at once, while simultaneously not feeling at home in any of them. Yee plays on an 1884 Eugenio Degani cello on loan from the Five Partners Foundation.
