Johann Sebastian Bach — Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut, BWV 199
Continuing our season with a shout of joy and a moment of reflection, these two sacred cantatas by J.S. Bach highlight the dazzling voice and deeply moving musicianship of Portland-based soprano Arwen Myers. Directed by Kris Kwapis, this program will explore the rich emotional connections between voice and instruments with Cantata 51 for soprano, trumpet and strings and Cantata 199 for soprano, oboe and strings.
This program will receive 2 in-person performances: Saturday, November 4 at 6:30pm at Bastyr University Chapel; and Sunday, November 5 at 2pm at Town Hall Seattle. It will also be recorded and released online as a digital broadcast on November 11 at 12pm Pacific.

Her history includes appearances with Portland Baroque Orchestra, Early Music Vancouver, Pacific MusicWorks, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, working with such notable conductors as Nicholas McGegan, Monica Huggett, David Fallis, John Butt, David Hill, Scott Allen Jarrett, Erick Lichte, and Matthew Dirst.
