You're invited on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 12pm-3pm to All Classical's Summer Open House! All Classical celebrates 40 years of orchestrating magic in August, and we can't imagine a better way to commemorate the occasion than to have an in-person party with you, the listeners who make this service possible.
Our 2023 Summer Open House will include station tours, light refreshments, opportunities to meet your favorite on-air hosts, and more! You can also explore the family friendly ICAN Radio room, where children and their guardians can play and learn. Plus, you'll hear live performances throughout the day by Meester & Meester of 3 Leg Torso and pianist María García.
Schedule:
12:30pm – All Classical's Artist in Residence María García performs The Race by Gwyneth Walker, a contemporary adaptation of the familiar story, The Hare and the Tortoise. This special performance is a perfect opportunity for families and children – stop by to listen, then visit the ICAN Radio room for arts and crafts, and more youth-friendly fun!
1:30pm and 2:30pm – Join us in the Roger O. Doyle performance studio to hear Meester & Meester of 3 Leg Torso! Violinist Béla R. Balogh, accordion player Courtney Von Drehle, and upright bassist Bill Athens will bring the fun with familiar favorites. There might even be a sing-along or two!
Guided studio tours at 12:15pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 2:45pm.
