Ludwig van Beethoven — Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92
Extraordinary double bassist Xavier Foley joins Northwest Sinfonietta for this season finale concert, performing Botessini's virtuosic Gran duo concertante and his own composition, For Justice and Peace, with Concertmaster Denise Dillenbeck. Clarice Assad's playful Suite for Lower Strings opens this final concert of the season, which closes with Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, a sublime epic filled with Beethoven's optimism in the face of adversity, and hope for the future.
This program will receive 2 performances: Saturday, May 4 at 7:30pm at the Rialto Theater in Tacoma; and Sunday, May 5 at 2pm at Pioneer Park Pavilion in Puyallup.
