Seattle Symphony Musicians: From Mozart to Matthews
$41
Rachel Matthews — Voices of Trees
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — Overture to Die Zauberflöte ("The Magic Flute"), K. 620
Ludwig van Beethoven — Sextet for Horns and String Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 81b
Mozart's familiar Overture to The Magic Flute and Beethoven's Sextet round out a chamber program that also features Rachel Matthews's Voices of Trees, which explores the clarinet's tonal qualities, inspired by the idea that its music is like "the sound of a tree singing."
