Queer Opera returns to the Lincoln Hall stage with a weekend of classical and contemporary English art song, sung from a queer perspective!

This year, each of our singers have chosen two English art songs that represent something they'd like to express on stage – some traditional and some brand new. In addition to the traditional "singer in the crook of the piano" staging for the first half, the second half of the program breaks many of the rules of art song performance. In this portion, all singers remain on stage – acting, reacting, and even participating in the storytelling of each song and drawing the audience into the poetry and drama of these musical gems. Stick around afterward for a talkback with the singers and production team!

This program will receive 2 performances: Saturday, September 2 at 7pm; and Sunday, September 3 at 3pm.
