Grammy-winning vocal group Roomful of Teeth continues to expand the capabilities of the human voice, unburdened by physical limitations. By engaging collaboratively with artists, thinkers and community leaders from around the world, the group seeks to uplift and amplify voices old and new while creating and performing meaningful and adventurous music. Their Meany debut features the world premiere of a work by special guest Gabriel Kahane, co-commissioned by Meany Center, plus music by composers known for breaking molds and bending the rules of vocal music.

A singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer, Gabriel Kahane works at the blurred edges of journalism, ethnography, storytelling, and music. Kahane's style is often compared to Sufjan Stevens and Rufus Wainwright and has collaborated with both of these artists.
