Ms. Devlin will perform and present at Marysville schools on Monday, September 11th demonstrating the variety of musical styles possible on the trumpet. This day will conclude with an evening concert at Marysville Pilchuck HS Auditorium sponsored by the Marysville School District, Music Performance Trust Fund and Chamber Music Marysville. Performance will include solo music for trumpet by Piazzolla, Herbert L. Clarke, Morricone, and Gina Gillie.

Shelly Devlin was a trumpeter and bugler for the U.S. Navy before she settled full time in Bremerton, Washington. She performs with the Bremerton Symphony and is brass coach for the Bremerton Youth Symphony. She is currently the trumpet professor at Pierce College. She received her Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance and Education from the University of Iowa and her Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of Washington. An enthusiastic music educator, Shelly teaches 65 private students per week. Shelly is an active freelance performer and guest clinician throughout the Puget Sound area.
